Q: “How far in advance do I need to place my order?”
A: The earlier the better! But at the minimum we ask for at least one week (7 days) in advance. For special customized cakes we ask for 3 weeks notice for us to test and prepare.
Anything less than the required notice will be subject to a 20% rush fee (as well as availability).
Q: “Do you do delivery for cakes?”
A: Yes! We offer free delivery within the city of Guelph. Anything outside of Guelph will require a delivery fee. See our menu page for costs to nearby cities. Please contact us for deliveries beyond our listings. Otherwise pickup for anyone is available!
Q: “What times are cake deliveries and pick-ups available?”
A: Because we do have full-time jobs outside of this business, as a rule of thumb we will be available after 5:30pm on weekdays, and available throughout the weekend. Please let us know what time you’re aiming for and we’ll try our best to meet your needs!
Q: “How do you suggest I pickup my order?”
A: Here’s our recommendation for transporting your desserts:
i) Place the dessert in a box/tote with other boxes around to wedge it and prevent it from sliding around.
ii) Place it either in the trunk, or on the floor of the car for an even surface, whichever is cooler.
iii) Air condition blowing at the feet is highly recommended. Avoid the sun if possible. Also avoid abrupt stops and sharp turns.

Q: “What size cake should I get?”
A: Depending on how many people you’re serving:
6″ – 8 servings
8″ – 12 servings
10″ – 16 servings
*note: these are rough estimates and will ultimately depend on how big a slice you want! Need something bigger? Get in touch with us!
Q: “How do I pay for my order? Also do you require a deposit?”
A: We don’t require a deposit! Payments can be made the day of delivery. We accept both cash and e-transfers to chiffoninginlove@gmail.com.
Q: “What if I need to cancel?”
A: If this happens please contact us ASAP. We want to try our best to minimize food waste.
